Day 1: Arrival in Paris, France
Wednesday
Upon arrival to the beautiful city of Paris, also known as the “City of Light,” transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring on your own. Meet your fellow travelers and your tour director for a Welcome Dinner. (D)

Day 2: Paris, France
Thursday
On a morning sightseeing tour of Paris, view all major city’s landmarks: the Arc de Triomphe, Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, the Latin Quarter, the Pantheon, and the Paris Opera. The afternoon is at leisure to discover more of Paris at your own pace or perhaps join an optional excursion to Versailles. (B)

Day 3: Paris, France – Epernay, France – Nancy, France
Friday
Today we drive to the Champagne region, and the first stop is in Reims. Our City Tour includes a visit to the famous cathedral, where 25 Kings of France have been crowned. Continue on the Champagne route to Epernay and its prestigious Champagne Avenue, where all the big names in Champagne have a boutique. Visit a champagne cellar for tasting, before we proceed to Nancy for overnight. (B)

Day 4: Nancy, France – Strasbourg, France – Karlsruhe, Germany
Saturday
This morning we’ll visit Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region. Visit the “Petit France,” with its half-timbered houses, medieval bridges, and canals. We will see the historic center, named “La Grande Ile,” which is classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, and the Gothic Cathedral, where you will be able to see the historic Astronomic Clock. In the afternoon we’ll go to Germany for a city tour of Karlsruhe (which features a city garden), Ettlinger Tor, Baden State Theatre, the Marktplatz, and the Palace. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight. (B, D)

Day 5: Karlsruhe, Germany – Rothenburg, Germany – Regensburg, Germany
Sunday
After breakfast, we continue on to the beautiful medieval, walled-city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Enjoy some time at leisure exploring the city, before proceeding to Regensburg to board the ship for a week of sailing. Embarkation begins at 3PM. After arrival formalities, we will have some time to relax on board, and then enjoy a gala Welcome Dinner in the evening. (B, D)

Day 6: Regensburg, Germany: City Tour
Monday
This morning, we will explore Regensburg, one of Germany’s largest medieval cities and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guided walking tour highlights the city’s stunning architecture as we view the Old Town Hall, Dom St. Peter, and the Porta Pretoria, the gateway to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. Return to the boat for lunch or spend the afternoon at your leisure. At 3:00 PM, the ship will set sail for Passau. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Morning in Passau, Germany
Tuesday
Dock this morning in 2500-year-old Passau, known for its pastel patrician houses, cafés, cobblestone lanes, and riverfront promenade. Explore Passau independently in the morning, or join the optional full-day-tour to picturesque Salzburg, Austria, birthplace of Mozart. After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy some time exploring Salzburg. In the early evening, all passengers will rejoin the ship and continue sailing for Melk. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Melk Abbey, Austria
Wednesday
Disembark in Melk, Austria, this morning for a guided tour of the historic Benedictine Abbey, considered one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Europe. Then, return to the ship and continue cruising through the scenic Wachau Valley on the way to Vienna. Tonight, you can attend an evening of Viennese culture at the optional concert of the classical masterpieces of Mazart and Strauss. (B, L, D)

Day 9: Vienna, Austria: City Tour
Thursday
This sparkling city has captivated travelers for years. Drive along the famed Ringstrasse, Vienna’s main boulevard; see the lavish Hofburg Palace and the impressive Vienna Opera House. Continue to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Parliament Building. Enjoy the afternoon at a local café or join the optional afternoon tour to the Imperial Schonbrunn Palace. Set sail for Budapest this evening. (B, L, D)

Day 10: Bratislava, Slovakia: City Tour:
Friday
Enjoy the scenery as you sail along the Danube today. At noon, arrive in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. This capital city is among the youngest in Europe, yet retains a rich history, dating back more than 2,000 years. Visit the historic town center: see St. Martin’s Cathedral, the 13th-century Old Town Hall, and the Franciscan Church. Enjoy some time to explore the city on your own before returning to the ship for dinner as we sail for Budapest. (B, L, D)

Day 11: Budapest City Tour
Saturday
Your morning tour begins on the Pest side of the river: see the Parliament, City Park, and Heroes’ Square. Cross to Buda to see the Royal Palace and Matthias Church. Explore the city this afternoon on your own. Tonight, enjoy a lavish Captain’s Dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 12: Departure from Hungary
Sunday
This morning, disembark and transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
