Day 1 Arrival – Amboseli

Arrive in Nairobi with early morning flight. Meet and assist by your designated local guide. Board your vehicle and begin your journey to Amboseli National park. On the way have picnic breakfast/hot breakfast (depending with flight arrival). Amboseli is one of the best wildlife viewing parks in the world. Against the backdrop of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro watch elephants and other “Big 5” game roam across the rolling Kenyan savannas on this unforgettable adventure. Amboseli is also a good birding destination and more than 420 species have been recorded here. Large numbers of flamingos may be present. The grassland areas offer some interesting ground birds such as Hartlaub’s bustard and the localized Pangani long claw. After lunch continue with evening game drive until sundown, then return to the lodge for Dinner.

Day 2 Amboseli – Manyara

Enjoy an early morning game drive where you may be lucky to see the carnivores (lions, cheetah or leopards, hyenas) hunting or feasting on a prey. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then depart to Manyara. Arrive at Namanga border in the mid-morning. After border procedures exchange vehicles on the Tanzania side and continue with your journey towards Arusha town. Arrive in Arusha on time for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch go for a town tour as you exit the town and continue with your journey to Manyara. Arrive in Manyara in the evening and check in at Eco boma campsite.

Day 3 Manyara – Tarangire

Early morning walk to the Lake Manyara plains to watch the sun rise. Return to the camp for breakfast and then depart for Tarangire National park. Arrive in Tarangire in the midmorning and embark on your game drive. The uncrowded and relatively unknown, Tarangire National Park is famous for its vast herds of elephants and forests of epic giant baobab trees, the rugged landscape is incredibly diverse and stands out from any other on the traditional northern safari circuit. Tarangire is a park for those who want to step that much further off the beaten track to experience a truly wild area. It boasts large herds of elephant and buffalo, and a remarkable concentration of big cats. The African wild dog, kudu, oryx and gerenuk, rarely found in other parks in the northern circuit, can also be found here, along with arguably the best bird diversity in Africa. More than 550 species are attracted to its vibrant swamps. Have a picnic lunch in the park. In the evening return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4 Manyara – Manyara

After breakfast go for morning game drive at Lake Manyara National park. Lake Manyara vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to marsh to evergreen forest (11 ecosystems in all) and it supports one of the highest biomass densities of large mammals in the world. There are chances to see elephant families moving through the forest or Lake Manyara’s famous population of tree-climbing lions (although sighting them is becoming increasingly rare) and thousands of Flamingos are alone reason enough to come. In the afternoon go for Hot lunch at a local house, on the way pass by banana plantations. During lunch get to learn practically on how to cook local food such as “Ugali” ”Mchicha” ”cassava” and many more. After lunch proceed for cultural tour around mto wa mbu villages on the way to the school whereby you will donate books directly to the school with your names written on them. In the evening transfer back to the lodge stopping by local curio shop to buy Tanzania souvenirs.

Day 5 Manyara-Ngorongoro-Serengeti

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and departure to Ngorongoro conservation area. Arrive in Ngorongoro in the midmorning and embark on a game drive at the floor of Ngorongoro crater. (Not more than 6 hours) The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals into the northern plains. Game drive: descend into the Ngorongoro Crater through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree species. The surrounding swamp is surrounded by hippos. In the evening arrive in Serengeti and proceed to your lodge with en-route game drive.

Day 6&7 – Serengeti

Start the morning with an early morning game drive. At this time, you are likely to see carnivorous animals hunting their pray. Return to lodge for breakfast and after breakfast embark on a full day game drive in search for BIG FIVE and the famous wild beast migration. The Serengeti Migration is the largest animal migration in the world. Serengeti is rated as one of the world’s most spectacular natural events (Seventh wonder of the world by UNESCO) – every year over a million wildebeest, zebra and antelope migrate clockwise around the Serengeti-Masai Mara ecosystem, taking in two different countries and making time for birthing, courting and mating on the way. The precise timing of the Serengeti wildebeest migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. However, the cycle repeats itself year in year out around July-October migration is expected to be crossing over to Kenyan side in maasai mara and return back to Tanzania side around November. Have a picnic lunch box. After lunch continue with your full day game drive. In the evening return to the lodge for dinner.

Overnight – Serengeti (B,L,D)

Day 8 Serengeti-Isibania-Maasai Mara

After breakfast begin your journey to Maasai Mara, Kenya side. After 5-6 hours’ drive arrive at Isibania border. Proceed with migration procedures which may take 1hrs2hrs. After the procedure exchange vehicles on the Kenyan side. Then continue with your journey towards Maasai Mara. Arrive in Maasai Mara gate around in the evening enroute game drive to your Lodge whereby you will have your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 Maasai Mara

After breakfast embark on a full day game drive in Maasai Mara in search for great wild beast migration and the big five. Have your picnic lunch on designated areas within the Maasai Mara reserve. Maasai mara is named in honor of the Maasai people who call this corner of Africa home, the Mara is world renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, leopard, cheetah, herds-a-thousand-strong of buffalo, the rare black rhino and of course the thriving elephants. In approximately July of each year, the Great Migration arrives for an annual four-month stay. There are at least ten crossing spots on the Mara River alone, where you may be lucky enough to catch this breath-taking spectacle. In the evening return to the lodge for dinner.

Overnight – Maasai Mara (B, D)

Day 10 Maasai Mara – Naivasaha

Go for early morning game drive (upon discussion with your guide) Breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast at the lodge departure for Naivasha with enroute game drive. On the way go for cultural tour Maasai Boma. An authentic glimpse into the distinctive Maasai culture is now accessible to Eco-tourists in Kenya. Preservation of their proud traditions has set the Maasai apart from other indigenous groups in Kenya and embodies a side of Africa with which few outsiders can contact. This visit will offer visitors a memorable opportunity to interactively experience the Maasai way of life through dancing singing or dress up in Maasai traditional costumes and ornaments. See for yourselves how Maasai houses look like inside, be amazed the way a small hut can accommodate so much. (Traditional family dwelling). After Maasai boma visit, proceed to lake Naivasha. Arrive in Lake Naivashain time for Lunch. After lunch/rest, embark on evening boat ride.

Day 11 Naivasha-Nairobi-Departure

After breakfast departure for Nairobi Arrive in Nairobi in time for Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant. Carnivore is an open-air restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya. Carnivore’s specialty is meat and features an all-you-can-eat meat buffet famously for all you can eat barbeque restaurant in Nairobi. After Lunch go for last minute shopping at local supermarket on the way to the airport.In the evening check in at the Jommo Kenyatta International airport and departure back home.
