Day 1
Arrival Belgrade. Transfer to your hotel. Balance of day free to explore Belgrade on your own. Dinner in Skadarlija the old Bohemian part of the town. Overnight at 4* hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast a comprehensive sightseeing tour of the city. The Serbian capital is one of the oldest towns in this part of Europe. The remains of its long and turbulent history still exist on a hill overlooking the mouth of two rivers, the Sava and Danube. The tour includes the historic Kalemegdan Fortress surrounded by the most attractive city parks. Continue on to Nikola Tesla museum, Republic Parliament Building, the National Theatre, and the National Museum and more. We will make a stop at the Memorial Center of Josip Broz Tito the leader of the former Yugoslavia. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade.
Day 3
After breakfast departure to Novi Sad the economic, political and cultural capital of Vojvodina province. Novi Sad lies on a strategic location on a bend in the Danube and retains a Hungarian atmosphere from years of Habsburgs rule. Visit its bridges on the Danube and the busy but charming central city zone. Continue to Monastery of Krusedol with its unique architecture that combines both Baroque and Byzantine. Stop at the Petrovaradin baroque citadel and fortress with a great panoramic view of the city. Visit the ranch where Marija and Albert Einstein spent summers. Dinner and overnight in Novi Sad.
Day 4
Morning departure to Oplenac nature reserve in Topola. Visit the memorial of the Karadjordjevic dynasty and home of the King Petar I. He was the leader of the first Serbian uprising against Turks in 1804 and the founder of the Karadjordjevic dynasty. Visit one of the few monasteries in the Ovcar-Kablar gorge. Lunch in ethno village "Veliki Grabovski." Visit the home of the world famous annual Trumpet Festival in Guca. Overnight in ethno village "Terzica avlija."
Day 5
Trip to the National park and Mt. Tara, the largest park in Serbia clad in dense, well-preserved forests of fir, spruce, and beech and pine trees. Visit the Monastery of Raca and village of Kremna, famous for its prophecy and prophet Mitar Tarabic. After lunch in a national restaurant at Mt. Zlatibor, visit the Open Air Museum in Sirogojno recreating a typical Serbian mountain village. Dinner and overnight in Sirogojno.
Day 6
Visit to Mileseva Monastery one of the most important Serbian sanctuaries and view the famous fresco of the White Angel. Lunch in Hotel Tadz in Novi Pazar, an ancient Balkan trading city. Dinner and overnight in monastery of Studenica, (UNESCO site). Studenica was once the political, cultural and spiritual center of medieval Serbia.
Day 7
After breakfast transfer to the airport.
